The production archive of the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch documents Berlin's theatre and drama-education history. In 2022, for a digiS project, BiblioCopy digitised historic photographs and integrated the associated metadata.

Performance photographs are key sources for productions, stage designs and the work of students and teaching staff. Digitisation makes this visual record usable for cataloguing, teaching and research.

Only by linking an image file to its metadata does a reproduction become a discoverable digital archive object. Productions, people and periods can then be linked systematically.
