Experience
Carefully transferring cultural heritage to digital formats preserves valuable objects and makes them easier to access. The process of digitising cultural heritage includes scanning 2D objects (such as books, photographs, postcards, leaflets, letters, brochures and posters) in accordance with the DFG practical guidelines on digitisation and the further cataloguing of digital copies, for example through text recognition or enrichment with metadata as well as creating derivatives for online presentation.
With our more than 30 years of experience in copy and repro centres at Berlin libraries, we are a reliable digitisation partner for your project. We specialise in cultural-historical material and have delivered numerous digitisation projects together with libraries, museums and archives as well as private clients in Berlin and beyond.

Quality, not quantity
We understand the many challenges involved in handling unique works. Whether well preserved or fragile, we aim to add to your unique collection as gently as possible with high-quality, high-resolution and colour-accurate digital copies. We therefore attach great importance to continually developing our technical equipment and workflows. All of our work is carried out by trained permanent staff, and the ongoing professional development of our employees matters to us.
We use modern methods to assure image quality, based on recognised international standards. To protect your valuable documents, we use material-friendly overhead scanners made by Zeutschel.
Our equipment handles originals in a wide range of sizes – from small formats such as photographs and postcards to standard books and journals up to A2 size. The scanners meet the demanding requirements of ISO 19264-1 Level B and Metamorfoze Light.
