From the original to a usable digital copy
The digital copies are not only captured as images but also prepared for scholarly use. Combining high-quality image digitisation, OCR and structural metadata enables targeted searching across extensive collections.

Structured processing combines collection care with digital access: the originals are protected while the content can be searched from anywhere and made available in the IAI's Digital Collections.
