First, download the printer driver (PS Driver for Universal Print):<br><a href=\"https:\/\/support.ricoh.com\/bb\/html\/dr_ut_e\/re2\/model\/imc3000\/imc3000.htm\">https:\/\/support.ricoh.com\/bb\/html\/dr_ut_e\/re2\/model\/imc3000\/imc3000.htm<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. Once downloaded, open the file by double-clicking it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. When the program starts, a dialogue box lets you choose the folder for the driver files. You can accept the default or enter a path such as \u2018C:\\Ricoh-Treiber\u2019 to make the folder easier to find.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. Click \u2018Unzip\u2019 to extract the files.&nbsp;<br>You can then close the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installation of the printer driver<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6. In the \u2018Select a shared printer by name\u2019 field, enter the following network address:<br><strong>https:\/\/inpas.sbb.spk-berlin.de:631\/printers\/Ricoh-PS <\/strong><br>Then click \u2018Next\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">9. Go to the folder where the driver files were extracted (C:\\temp or C:\\Ricoh-Treiber). The driver-installation dialogue will reappear. Click \u2018OK\u2019 to confirm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<br>12. A list of drivers in the package will appear. You may then need to confirm the installation of the new driver.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">14. A confirmation message will appear after the driver is installed. Close it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">15. A final dialogue box will appear after you close the message. Under the \u2018Device Settings\u2019 tab, set two options to \u2018Yes\u2019:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Convert grey text to PostScript grey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Convert grey graphics to PostScript grey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click \u2018Apply\u2019 to save the settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"964\" height=\"823\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image-8.png\" alt=\"Ricoh driver properties with two greyscale conversion options set to \u201cYes\u201d\" class=\"wp-image-1984\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bibliocopy.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image-8.png 964w, https:\/\/bibliocopy.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image-8-300x256.png 300w, https:\/\/bibliocopy.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image-8-768x656.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 964px) 100vw, 964px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The dialog window closes and the correct settings are set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Authentication with the copy card<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">To use the printing system, you must now authenticate using the number on your <a href=\"\/en\/leistungen\/bibliocopy-in-der-staatsbibliothek-zu-berlin\/kopierkarte-und-guthaben\/\">copy card<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">19. Click \u2018OK\u2019 to complete this step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">26. In the following \u2018Printing Preferences\u2019 window, click \u2018Apply\u2019 to complete the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new printer is now installed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After restarting your computer, you can use the new printer.
